Project Identification

Project Identification

During the Identification phase, the context at national and sectoral levels is analysed to identify problems, constraints and opportunities which the project could address. Ideas for projects and other development actions are identified and screened for further study. This involves consultation with the intended beneficiaries and other stakeholders, and the identification of options to address the problems they face. It also involves the initial elaboration of the project idea in terms of objectives, results and activities, with a view to determining whether or not to go ahead.
